A few years ago I teamed up with Sparrow Bushcraft to create an awesome survival tool. The SparAwl combines a carbon steel sharp point with artsy detail so that it looks unassuming hanging around your neck. Back then it was paired with a leather neck sheath. I thought I had sold all or the awls, but look what I found. No, this is not my personal one. That one is mine and from one of the best people I have ever had the privilege to call a friend, Bourbon Bill.
Built to look great as an accessory, the SparAwl is 4” of carbon steel. A sharp quad point gives you the ability to punch holes in almost any natural material. Attach it to a stick and it becomes a spare whether for small game, birds, or that elusive brown trout. The eyelet creates a threading capability to sew new gear or do repairs in the fly. I threaded this one with leather and added a signature bead from my collection (check out the Bushcraft Wrist Wraps if you don't know what I mean). Why? Well, it looks darn good but also adds great raw materials to create or maintain an adventure!
